What you will do

• Refactor and modernize existing Python and legacy codebases while ensuring business continuity.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and robust APIs.
• Analyze and resolve complex performance bottlenecks in critical systems.
• Lead and mentor engineers on debugging, problem-solving, and sustainable design patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments and improve architecture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Python skills with experience in async, profiling, and clean architecture.
• Experience extending and embedding the CPython interpreter.
• Proven track record in refactoring or migrating legacy systems from monolithic to modular architectures.
• Strong debugging instincts and experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be able to comply with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++ for system-level integrations.
• Background in analytics, ETL pipelines, or high-performance data processing.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source or development of internal tooling.
