What you will do

• Build, test, and maintain fault-tolerant infrastructure for GraphQL runtime platforms in Rust.
• Operate and improve stable, high-performance public APIs for large-scale GraphQL workloads.
• Design scalable and observable systems that integrate into diverse customer infrastructures.
• Engage with community and enterprise users to debug issues and influence platform evolution.
• Collaborate across teams through code reviews and constructive communication.
• Mentor teammates in architectural design and writing high-quality, idiomatic Rust code.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based on the East Coast of the United States or Canada.
• Strong experience with Rust and building performant, maintainable code.
• Expertise in systems engineering, including stateless/fault-tolerant and event-driven patterns.
• Proven ability to drive architectural discussions and cross-team initiatives.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations for mission-critical systems.
• Growth mindset and passion for GraphQL and modern developer tooling.
