AI Tutor - Portuguese (AI)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $35–$45 per hour for US-based candidates. International compensation details are provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Label, annotate, record, and provide inputs for multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory elements.
• Curate audio data that represents natural speech, linguistic and prosodic details, accents, and professional recording quality.
• Evaluate speech accuracy, pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, cultural vocal expressions, and audio quality.
• Transcribe varied and noisy audio with high accuracy and provide feedback on audio samples.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent handling, multilingual audio processing, and annotation tools.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Portuguese, including exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural vocal delivery suitable for recording.
• Strong auditory perception and comprehension, including the ability to assess accented, ambiguous, or noisy speech.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in accurate transcription, multilingual audio evaluation, and defensible annotation decisions.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• For personal-device work, use a Chromebook, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or related experience.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
• Professional voice experience such as voice acting, voice recording, podcasting, or audio production.
• Portfolio containing voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
