Ai Tutor (Finnish)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

US-based candidates: $35–$45 per hour. Compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Label, annotate, record, and evaluate multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Curate high-quality audio datasets representing accurate linguistic, prosodic, accent, and pronunciation details.
• Support improvements to speech recognition, voice interactions, speech modulation, accent handling, and real-world noisy audio processing.
• Collaborate with technical staff to develop audio-related tasks and improve annotation tools and workflows.
• Provide feedback on audio quality and make consistent judgments about ambiguous or varied speech material.

Requirements

• Native Finnish proficiency with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural vocal delivery suitable for recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify differences in speech, pronunciation, intonation, accents, and audio quality.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in accurate audio transcription across accents and varying recording quality.
• Ability to evaluate multilingual audio, cultural vocal expressions, contextual meaning, and prosodic features.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with independent judgment in ambiguous audio scenarios.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice model training.
• Professional voice experience, such as voice acting, voice recording, podcasting, or audio production.
• Portfolio containing voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
