What you will do

• Define and execute the information security strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with ISO27001, SOC2, and PCI-DSS.
• Lead and mentor a team of eight professionals across both information security and corporate IT functions.
• Oversee operational security, including vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) services and ensure secure endpoint configuration for both Windows and macOS estates.
• Provide transparent security reporting and assurance to the CTO and senior executive leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security-by-design principles into the software and platform development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Significant experience in leadership roles within information security and corporate IT.
• Strong technical expertise in the Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, E5).
• Proven experience managing enterprise endpoint environments using Intune and Jamf.
• Deep knowledge of modern security frameworks, Zero Trust models, and regulated environments.
• Must be available for on-site work in Newcastle-upon-Tyne at least two days a week.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and regulatory engagements.
