What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Participate in the full SDLC, from discovery and design to implementation and operational support.
• Optimize system performance, resilience, and observability through pragmatic instrumentation and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver maintainable, scalable solutions and reduce technical debt.
• Develop robust data access patterns and schemas for relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Implement automated tests and uphold high code quality standards through effective review practices.

Requirements

• Professional experience building and operating production-grade backend systems with PHP.
• Strong proficiency in a modern PHP framework such as Laravel.
• Solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including eventual consistency, retries, and idempotency.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in the Krakow office.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AWS, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Knowledge of Swoole, Laravel Octane, or ClickHouse.
• Experience building shared libraries or platform components used across multiple engineering teams.
