What you will do

  • Design and own the end-to-end credit risk framework, including policies, underwriting standards, and governance models.
  • Serve as the second line of defense by validating complex credit decisions and monitoring key risk indicators like NPL ratios and cost of risk.
  • Lead portfolio monitoring and recovery strategies in alignment with IFRS 9 and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Financing teams to assess risks for new products.
  • Champion the integration of AI/ML into credit risk processes such as automated underwriting and real-time scoring.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Credit Risk team from the ground up to support European market growth.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in credit risk with deep expertise in SME or corporate lending within the banking sector.
  • Strong command of regulatory requirements including CRR, Basel, and ACPR.
  • Proven ability to build risk frameworks from scratch in fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
  • Proficiency with data tools such as SQL and Python for portfolio analytics and financial modeling.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML in credit risk processes.
