TL;DR

Payments Risk Analyst (Fintech): Investigating and decisioning high-risk fiat payment activity with an accent on fraud prevention, loss mitigation, and maintaining customer experience. Focus on analyzing complex transactional patterns, applying risk controls within the payments ecosystem, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and platform security.

Location: Must work onsite at our Manila, Philippines Centre of Excellence office.

Salary: ₱319.40 per month

What you will do

  • Investigate and decision high-risk payment cases including withdrawal holds and transfer risk monitoring.
  • Review transaction signals such as geolocation, device, and KYC/AML flags to identify potential fraud.
  • Apply and adjust payments-related controls and flags while documenting rationale for downstream teams.
  • Partner with frontline CX teams on escalations requiring deeper risk review and clear guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners like Risk, Compliance, and Engineering to improve workflows.
  • Contribute to SOP updates and support training for new team members.

Requirements

  • Full-time, in-office presence at our Manila location is required.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in payments risk, fraud operations, financial crime, or trust & safety.
  • Ability to investigate complex cases and synthesize multiple data points under time pressure.
  • Proficiency in working with metrics and SLAs in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation and customer-centric explanations.
  • Willingness to support shift-based work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
