Senior Data Analyst

TL;DR

Senior Data Analyst (Data Analytics): Performing investigative data analysis, system design, and data modeling to support development teams with an accent on translating complex business needs into functional requirements. Focus on designing sustainable data solutions within Big Data platforms and ensuring scalability in high-load financial environments.

Location: Hybrid from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, or Łódź (2-3 days per week in-office)

Salary: 100–125 PLN/h

What you will do

• Conduct investigative data analysis and system design to support development teams.
• Develop and expand standardized data models such as Canonical Data Model.
• Drive requirements gathering and analysis involving multiple stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between business needs and IT technical implementation.
• Work with Big Data technologies to ensure scalable and value-adding solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and other IT analysts.

Requirements

• Experience in relational database design, querying, and optimization.
• Proficiency with Big Data platforms including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, or pySpark.
• Familiarity with data formats such as JSON and AVRO.
• Experience with Python, R, or Java.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Competence in using Jira and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control.
