What you will do

• Build foundational technology for the Adaptive Harmony stack using high-performance software engineering.
• Develop and profile dedicated GPU kernels in CUDA or Triton to optimize inference latency.
• Conduct empirical research on LLMs and diffusion models using reinforcement learning techniques.
• Resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in large-scale distributed training systems.
• Execute experiments comparing DPO, PPO, and other alignment strategies systematically.
• Collaborate asynchronously on research agendas and contribute to the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in-person in New York or Paris.
• Strong programming skills in distributed environments where performance is critical.
• Proficiency in high-quality software development, particularly in Rust.
• M.Sc./Ph.D. in computer science or equivalent demonstrated experience in ML engineering.
• Experience with GPU optimization, CUDA, or Triton is highly valued.
• Proven ability to reproduce complex research results and conduct empirical studies.
