Location: Must be based in San Diego, CA (Onsite 5 days a week)

Salary: $32/hour

What you will do

• Develop, test, and debug embedded C software within microcontroller, Linux, or Android environments.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product Management departments.
• Contribute to the delivery of fully tested and compatible IoT devices.
• Engage in the lifecycle of firmware development for smart sensors and home automation hardware.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S., or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (sponsorship not available).
• Strong experience in Embedded C programming and revision control systems like Git or SVN.
• Academic or internship experience with microcontrollers and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C).
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application to IoT edge devices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Embedded Linux, Android, or ARM Cortex-M development.
• Knowledge of RTOS, Object-Oriented programming, or hardware design/schematics.
• Familiarity with wide area cell networks or local mesh networking protocols.
