Security Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Tysons, Virginia (Hybrid: 4 days/week in office). No sponsorship available.

What you will do

• Evaluate, review, and deploy cloud-native security tools across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Monitor, configure, and enforce policies using platforms such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CASB, and CIEM.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain threat models for cloud environments.
• Partner with infrastructure stakeholders to ensure deployed solutions minimize security and privacy risks.
• Actively maintain the enterprise security posture and respond to client security queries.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Information Security with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to read Java code.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• AWS Security, CISSP, CISA, or OSCP certifications.
• Experience performing security reviews of cloud application designs.
