What you will do
- Lead the design and development of backend services for a core platform rewrite.
- Design scalable services responsible for transaction processing, balances, and reporting data.
- Define API contracts and integration patterns between backend services, frontend, and external systems.
- Manage data modeling and performance optimization strategies for large-scale datasets.
- Collaborate with frontend teams using React to ensure API-first design and integration efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and drive architectural decision-making.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in backend or fullstack development.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven track record acting as a Tech Lead responsible for architectural decisions.
- Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
- Practical knowledge of search technologies like Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD.
- Basic working knowledge of React and TypeScript.
Nice to have
- Background in FinTech or banking industry projects.
- Experience with data migration or modernization of legacy systems.
- Knowledge of GraphQL integrations.
- Familiarity with observability practices and database partitioning.
