What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality, scalable backend services for Git operations.
• Lead technical discussions, create design documentation, and prototype complex features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and defensive code while mentoring team members on implementation and debugging.
• Provide technical leadership in code reviews to ensure reliability, security, and performance standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and manage project milestones.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive improvements through incident investigation and postmortems.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Proven experience in software engineering delivering production-grade code.
• Strong background in distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Go, Rust, C, C++, or Java.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Microsoft Cloud Background Check security screening.
• Strong written communication skills for effective collaboration in a distributed global environment.
