Principal Engineer (Fintech)

Principal Engineer (Fintech): Leading the architectural vision and delivery of high-performance, scalable enterprise platforms for Fixed Income Credit Research and Global Liquidity with an accent on cloud-native distributed systems and mission-critical financial workflows. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid model requiring four days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Define architectural vision and long-term technical strategy for enterprise-grade financial systems.
• Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, cloud-native platforms for trading, analytics, and risk management.
• Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, and CI/CD best practices across multiple teams.
• Partner with product, security, and infrastructure stakeholders to align technology with business needs and industry regulations.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and operational resilience.
• Lead complex system analysis, including performance tuning, root-cause identification, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a principal or staff-level role.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server/RDBMS and 3+ years of ReactJS experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, C#, Python, or Go.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native application design.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across complex organizational structures.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS public cloud services.
• Knowledge of Snowflake data platforms.
• Professional experience within the Fixed Income domain.
