What you will do
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure patterns and tooling used by game teams.
- Build and improve observability platforms for live game operations.
- Iterate on deployment workflows to support massive scale.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to improve system reliability and availability.
- Share technical learnings across teams to improve operational excellence.
- Participate in on-call rotations for production systems.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux, shell scripting, and at least one scripting language.
- Proven track record with cloud platforms like AWS and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Deep experience operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Practical familiarity with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Ability to read and understand existing backend services, including Java.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to London or Helsinki.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of networking, security practices, and infrastructure auditing.
- Experience with Python or Ruby.
- Understanding of SQL and backend systems.
- Background or deep interest in the games industry.
