TL;DR

Lead Technical Artist (Unreal Engine 5): Leading the art pipeline and technical vision for an original IP game with an accent on tool development, performance optimization, and asset integration. Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid/Onsite).

Salary: 35 800 – 49 170 PLN gross monthly.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of technical artists, fostering innovation.
• Develop and integrate cutting-edge tools and features in Unreal Engine 5.
• Manage talent acquisition, performance reviews, and professional growth within the team.
• Define and maintain art pipeline best practices and technical documentation.
• Optimize assets for visual fidelity, performance, and memory efficiency.
• Collaborate with art directors, engineers, and designers to resolve production bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical art experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Fluent English proficiency is required.
• Must work from the Warsaw studio (relocation support provided).
• Strong expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and shader development.
• Proven ability to develop tools and automation scripts using Python or C++.
• Deep understanding of DCC workflows and complex debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in procedural content creation (Houdini, PCG, or Geometry Nodes).
• Expertise in real-time VFX (Niagara, EmberGen).
• Animation pipeline knowledge including Maya or MotionBuilder scripting.
