What you will do

• Drive APIs, being them async or sync.
• Code, maintain, and deploy quality code within an agile environment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, and beyond.
• Support other Just Eat engineering teams with their problems in the messaging space.
• Develop software that other people want to use, define product features, and participate in workshops with other product development teams.
• Take responsibility for supporting your changes all the way through to proving that they work well in production.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of C# .NET.
• Experience with messaging technologies, such as Kafka or SNS/SQS.
• Experience delivering high-quality software projects, using established best practices.
• Solid coding fundamentals (Go and C#).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).

Nice to have

• Experience with HTTP, REST, or other API technologies (OpenSpec or AsyncAPI).
• Modern DevOps mentality, frequent CI/CD release cycles.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as pulumi, CDK, terraform.
• Experience working in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with serverless computing and cloud architecture patterns.
• Experience working within an e-commerce business where reliability is critical.
• Experience with frameworks to manage containerized workloads and services, such as Kubernetes.
