Environment Generalist (VFX)

Location: Must be based in Seoul or surroundings, or willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Assess the most efficient methodology per environment brief.
• Provide and acquire photographic reference materials.
• Integrate imagery into shots, preserving lighting, perspective, and color.
• Use photography, practical, and digital skills to create 3D environments.
• Revise work based on client and supervisor feedback.
• Provide and receive artistic and technical direction.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Digital Matte Painter or Environment Artist for live-action feature and/or television.
• Strong understanding of 3D packages including 3ds Max, Maya and Houdini and 2D/Shading packages such as Substance and Adobe Photoshop.
• Knowledge of supplementary software including ZBrush, Gaea, and SpeedTree.
• Strong Matte Painting and 2.5D projection skills.
• Excellent communication skills and an open mind.
• Ability to work and solve technical issues independently and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Compositing and scripting experience.
• Strong willingness to grow, learn new methods & tools, and share knowledge with others.
