What you will do

• Build and own the backend API and system integration layer for production systems.
• Develop FastAPI backend for signal retrieval, posture read/write, briefing workflow, and action CRUD.
• Implement authentication and authorization layer using Azure AD SSO and role-based access control.
• Design and manage briefing approval workflow with immutable audit log.
• Integrate communications using WhatsApp Business API (via Twilio), SMS fallback, and email fallback.
• Develop API contracts, authentication flows, and state machine designs.

Requirements

• Experience building multi-role, authenticated REST APIs.
• Proficiency in FastAPI, Python 3.10+, PostgreSQL, Azure AD, and Redis.
• Familiarity with REST API design, Twilio API, Docker, and Azure App Service deployment.
• Experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD and pytest.
