What you will do

• Own and evolve security standards, ensuring they remain practical and aligned with industry best practices.
• Configure and maintain AWS security tooling, including IAM, networking, and threat detection.
• Lead security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure and applications.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines to enable secure-by-default engineering workflows.
• Manage incident response and triage, providing remediation guidance to reduce recurring security risks.
• Foster a strong security culture through internal education and secure coding initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong foundations in threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure development.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF).
• Ability to use Git, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines in a secure manner.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) for automation.
• Strong communication skills to partner with engineering stakeholders and influence security decisions.
• Must be based in the UK or Ireland (as per location constraints).

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a DevSecOps-focused security role.
• Experience with security in payment processing environments.
