What you will do
- Design, execute, and optimize chemical transformations to accelerate small molecule discovery.
- Develop and implement HTE workflows for reaction screening, optimization, and scope evaluation.
- Plan and perform multi-step synthesis, purification, and compound characterization.
- Integrate synthetic workflows with robotics-enabled platforms and automated data generation.
- Analyze reaction performance and analytical data to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including automation and computational scientists.
Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and multi-step synthesis.
- Hands-on experience with HTE (High-Throughput Experimentation) for screening and optimization.
- Proficiency in reaction workup, purification, and analytical methods (NMR, chromatography).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot challenging synthetic problems independently.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
Nice to have
- Experience in biotech, pharma, or advanced research environments.
- Familiarity with late-stage functionalization and heterocycle synthesis.
- Exposure to AI-enabled or data-rich R&D platforms.
