What you will do

• Design, develop, and modernize major components of a large C++ codebase, specifically focusing on radar sensor data processing.
• Work within modern containerized ecosystems using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
• Lead architectural decisions, refactoring initiatives, and performance tuning for high-load systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues, including memory management and multi-threaded behavior.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and runtime optimizations of large-scale applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software design, testing, and security.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++, including memory management and performance debugging.
• Experience with sensor data processing algorithms such as tracking, correlation, and fusion.
• Strong background in Linux development, shell environments, and containerized deployment.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative code review processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defense, Aerospace, or Air & Missile Defense domains.
• Hands-on experience with DDS or ActiveMQ messaging architectures.
• Familiarity with CMake, Ninja, and CPack.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
