Salary: £60,000 – £75,441 (including London Weighting Allowance)

What you will do

• Design and deliver scalable backend services and APIs to enable self-serve data product creation.
• Build and evolve cloud infrastructure using Terraform and modern cloud-native patterns.
• Contribute to the development of an Internal Developer Platform and Data Mesh architecture.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver cross-hirify.global data initiatives and shared capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and shape engineering standards, practices, and delivery culture.

Requirements

• Strong experience with backend development using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and version control.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Exposure to Platform Engineering concepts like IDPs or DSLs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Frontend experience with React or Next.js.
• Knowledge of data governance and cataloging tools.
