TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Writing and maintaining modular full stack applications with an accent on codebase maintainability and scalability. Focus on ensuring software aligns with existing frameworks and delivering business value through sound engineering methods.

Location: Hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites in Edinburgh.

Salary: £72,702 - £109,053

• Write modular, well-tested full stack applications that stay easy to maintain as our codebase and business scale.
• Ensure our software aligns with existing frameworks, patterns, and practices across the broader engineering community.
• Consistently use the most effective methods in our industry and share your knowledge to help solve complex business problems.
• Focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles.

Requirements

• A proactive approach and ability to independently start projects, working successfully with multi-disciplinary, internal, and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of Node JS, React Typescript, and responsive web design.
• Strong understanding of source code repositories and change management tools like Git.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and test automation, especially using tools such as Jest, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of build processes and release automation, including using DevOps Pipelines, Nexus, SonarQube, and AquaSec.
• Experience working with Private/Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, and OpenShift).
• Excellent team working and communication skills.
