Technical Solutions Architect

TL;DR

Technical Solutions Architect (Infrastructure/M365): Designing and documenting enterprise-level infrastructure solutions for a large-scale migration to the M365 suite with an accent on architectural strategy, compliance, and systems integration. Focus on producing high-level/low-level designs, managing technical documentation, and ensuring robust governance within a regulated IT environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Chelmsford (Hybrid: 2 times per month in office)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

What you will do

• Produce comprehensive High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level (LLD) design documentation.
• Lead the design and delivery of solutions across complex enterprise IT environments.
• Assess the impact of proposed solutions on live infrastructure and legacy systems.
• Ensure all architectural designs align with strict security, risk, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party suppliers to define and shape technical solutions.
• Support procurement processes and technical evaluations for new infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

• Eligibility for enhanced government vetting is a mandatory requirement.
• Strong experience in solution design and enterprise systems integration.
• Broad technical expertise across infrastructure, networking, and virtualization.
• Solid understanding of security protocols and working within ITIL-governed environments.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Ideal candidates have a background in the public sector, defense, or central government.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power Automate and workflow automation tools.
• Prior involvement in public sector or policing projects.
