What you will do
- Collaborate with global sales and field teams to drive deal closure and meet revenue targets.
- Design and engineer solutions to address client data and database-centric business challenges.
- Create Statements of Work (SOWs) and assist in RFP/RFI preparation and technical presentations.
- Manage technical relationships with stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, and DBAs.
- Conduct complex Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements for prospective customers.
- Travel as required to support sales efforts, provide onsite technical expertise, and represent the company at conferences.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Malaysia.
- English fluency: C1 level required.
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a Senior Sales Engineering role.
- Strong expertise in database architecture, specifically or MySQL, plus Oracle or SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of in-memory compute platforms like Redis or Apache Ignite.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time and hold a valid passport.
Nice to have
- Experience with pre-sales in open-source, SaaS, or managed services environments.
- Background in cloud engineering or public cloud platforms.
- Proven history of public speaking and technical content creation.
