Location: Hybrid (London, Old Street); Minimum 2 days a week in studio

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of FX artists, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Develop and implement complex simulations and high-end creative effects.
• Translate creative briefs from the Head of FX and VFX Supervisor into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of FX pipelines and production tools.
• Collaborate with Animation, Lighting, Compositing, and Rigging departments to ensure seamless integration of FX elements.
• Manage shot breakdowns and scheduling for FX sequences.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead FX Artist with a portfolio of realistic and stylized effects.
• Expert proficiency in Houdini.
• Deep understanding of physics, dynamics, and natural phenomena.
• Solid knowledge of rendering pipelines and optimization, specifically Mantra, Arnold, and Solaris.
• Current and full work permit for the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python for tool development and automation.
• Proficiency with Maya and other relevant FX software.
