What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of FX artists through feedback and guidance.
• Develop complex simulations and effects while ensuring high technical and artistic standards.
• Collaborate with HODs, CG, and VFX supervisors to translate creative briefs into efficient solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the improvement of the FX pipeline and tools.
• Coordinate with animation, lighting, and compositing departments to ensure seamless integration.
• Assist in shot breakdown and scheduling for FX sequences.

Requirements

• Current and full work permit for the UK is required.
• Expert proficiency in Houdini.
• Solid understanding of physics, dynamics, and natural phenomena.
• Strong knowledge of rendering pipelines (Mantra, Arnold, Solaris) and optimization.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional experience as a senior or lead FX artist.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages like Python for tool development and automation.
• Proficiency in Maya and other FX-related software.
