TL;DR
Fullstack Engineer: Supporting the development of a large-scale federal learning management and workforce training platform with an accent on building secure, scalable, and user-centered applications. Focus on translating requirements into reliable solutions that directly support workforce readiness, regulatory compliance, and public health outcomes.
Location: While this role is primarily remote, the individual must be available to attend in-person customer meetings at the client’s headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, as needed.
Salary: $96,132 - $126,000

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications supporting a cloud-hosted Learning Management System (LMS) and related training platforms.
- Build and enhance user-facing features with a focus on usability, accessibility (including Section 508 compliance), and performance.
- Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and integrations with external systems, including data services and reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, business analysts, and instructional design teams to translate requirements into functional, user-centered solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, build processes, and deployment activities within a DevSecOps framework.
- Support continuous improvement of the platform through iterative enhancements, refactoring, and modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack software development within enterprise or federal environments.
- Proven experience developing modern web applications using front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar) and back-end technologies (e.g., Java, Node.js, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap 3.0, SQL Server database development, or similar).
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with external systems and data services.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and participating in iterative delivery cycles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience developing or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training platforms is highly desirable.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience working in environments requiring compliance with federal security standards is preferred.
