Data Center Specialist (Starlink): Deploying, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware at Starlink PoP colocation sites worldwide with an accent on resolving hardware issues affecting Starlink user service and scaling the worldwide network. Focus on diagnosing failures within fiber optic circuits, executing repairs, and coordinating the shipment and logistics of equipment.
Location: Remote - WA. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Salary: $34.00 - $51.00/hour

What you will do
- Augment, deploy, troubleshoot, and repair hardware at Starlink PoP colocation sites worldwide.
- Travel internationally and domestically to resolve hardware issues and deploy new hardware.
- Diagnose failures within fiber optic circuits and execute repairs.
- Rack and stack router and server hardware.
- Install servers and upgrade/replace parts.
- Coordinate the shipment and logistics of equipment and parts to POP sites.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting hardware or IT equipment in the IT or telecom industry.
- Strong knowledge of standard computer skills: MS Office, Visio, and web applications.
- Ability to distinguish between different colors and possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
- Ability to travel as required; travel will be approximately 75% of the time to US or international gateway sites.
- General physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required for some tasks.
Nice to have
- Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation.
- Experience working with fiber optics network: installation, test, troubleshooting, and repair; using fiber optic test equipment (OTDR, OLS, OPM, VFL).
- Experience constructing IT/network racks (UPS, PDUs, cable management, servers, network devices).
- Fluency in languages in addition to English.
