TL;DR

Junior AI Engineer (Automation): Building and maintaining intelligent, event-driven workflows that directly improve operational processes with an accent on automation and integration. Focus on translating business requirements into well-structured workflow logic and integrating with internal systems, APIs, and AI services.

Location: Liverpool City Centre on a hybrid working basis

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using n8n.
  • Translate business requirements into well-structured workflow logic, working closely with operational teams.
  • Integrate n8n workflows with internal systems, APIs, and AI services to create end-to-end automation solutions.
  • Monitor, debug, and iterate on live workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Complete a structured onboarding plan covering tooling, delivery standards, and key integrations.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar.
  • Comfort working with APIs (REST/webhook), JSON, and basic scripting in Python or JavaScript.
  • A process-oriented mindset to automate manual workflows effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a desire to build clean, reliable, and easy-to-hand-over solutions.
  • A willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment.
  • Visa Requirements: At least one year remaining on their Graduate or Post-Study Work visa. At the moment, we’re not able to offer visa sponsorship.
