Information Security Architect

TL;DR

Information Security Architect (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing enterprise security controls and platforms to support secure technology delivery with an accent on risk management, industry frameworks, and cloud security. Focus on embedding security best practices into software development lifecycles and infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate threats.

Location: Hybrid role with at least 50% office-based working per month in Manchester or London.

What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert on security best practices for systems and data.
• Design and implement enterprise security controls and platforms aligned with industry standards.
• Support projects and change initiatives to ensure security is embedded throughout.
• Conduct security reviews for both in-house and third-party solutions.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to define standards.
• Serve as a primary link between the CISO and business technology teams.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, or PCI DSS.
• Extensive experience implementing enterprise security platforms including cloud and network security.
• Understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
• Solid background in information security risk management techniques.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in information security, preferably within financial services.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CISSP or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience within e-commerce or financial services environments.
