TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Building and optimizing middleware and Java backend services for a mobile investment platform with an accent on microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions on AWS. Focus on designing scalable backend systems, integrating with third-party providers, and mentoring the development team to ensure high performance and system reliability.

Location: Hybrid (Kraków, Poland) - 3 days per week in the office required.

Salary: From 18,000 PLN.

A publicly-traded global FinTech company providing platforms for trading stocks, crypto, and derivatives to over 340,000 clients.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring, and TypeScript.
  • Implement microservices using AWS Lambda and ECS containers.
  • Manage data exchange and message queuing using Kafka.
  • Design schemas and optimize queries for DynamoDB.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs with a focus on best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and lead complex technical initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in application development.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure (API Gateway, SAM, Terraform, Kinesis/MSK).
  • Deep experience with microservices architecture and database technologies like DynamoDB.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical delivery.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Kraków office for hybrid requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GitLab version control.
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies including TDD and BDD.
