Storage Operations Engineer

Location: Must be based in Bulgaria or Ukraine (Remote or in-office at any hirify.global location in the country)

What you will do

• Maintain and scale high-performing SAN and storage ecosystems supporting global products.
• Operate on-premises datacenters to ensure reliability and best-practice alignment.
• Proactively monitor and analyze infrastructure to resolve storage issues before they impact business.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• Plan and maintain infrastructure capacity based on growth trends.
• Perform regular audits and lifecycle management for hardware, firmware, and configurations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Bulgaria or Ukraine.
• Deep understanding of enterprise storage systems (Dell EMC, Infinidat).
• Strong knowledge of VMware (ESXi, vCenter, datastore design, VMFS/NFS).
• Competency in performance troubleshooting (latency, throughput, queue depths).
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including incidents and changes.

Nice to have

• Experience in global, multi-datacenter environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Nagios.
• Experience with cloud storage concepts.
