TL;DR
AI Engineer (AI): Partnering with strategic customers to deploy, scale, and optimize AI applications in production environments with an accent on AI observability, evaluation workflows, and feedback loops. Focus on troubleshooting complex infrastructure deployments, instrumenting end-to-end AI pipelines, and operationalizing scoring rubrics to improve system reliability.
Location: Hybrid role requiring presence in San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle.

What you will do
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to stabilize and scale AI applications in production.
- Instrument AI workflows to establish baselines for latency, cost, and output quality.
- Convert production data into evaluation datasets and implement CI/CD quality gates.
- Develop prototypes and custom integrations to help customers operationalize observability tools.
- Deploy and troubleshoot the platform within complex customer cloud or self-hosted environments.
- Serve as a technical lead, translating customer feedback into actionable insights for the internal product team.
Requirements
- 3–7+ years of experience as a software or field engineer.
- Strong backend development skills, specifically in Python and familiarity with TypeScript.
- Practical experience working with LLMs, APIs, and agentic workflows in production.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure patterns, specifically AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to own technical outcomes while working directly with external customers.
- Excellent communication skills for bridging the gap between business goals and technical requirements.
Nice to have
- Background in AI observability or LLMOps frameworks.
- Experience in startup environments or 0-to-1 product building.
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade or self-hosted deployments.
- Willingness to travel for on-site customer engagements.
