TL;DR
Design Engineer (AI): Building the frontend architecture and product experience for an AI-native automation platform with an accent on UI fidelity, design systems, and motion craft. Focus on bridging the gap between design intent and production-grade code, ensuring responsive and highly polished agentic interfaces.
Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco
Compensation: $175,000 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Translate Figma designs into production-ready React and TypeScript with exact fidelity.
- Own and evolve the shared design system implementation and component library.
- Implement complex motion, transitions, and micro-interactions that bring agent workflows to life.
- Leverage AI-assisted workflows to accelerate the design-to-code pipeline.
- Collaborate with product designers and founders to define and refine the product experience.
- Establish engineering standards for component architecture, accessibility, and interaction quality.
Requirements
- 4+ years of frontend engineering experience with a strong design background.
- Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Fluency in Figma for inspecting and implementing designs with precision.
- Strong command of animation and interaction principles (CSS, Framer Motion).
- Exceptional judgment regarding tradeoffs between speed and visual quality.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, zero-to-one startup environments.
Nice to have
- Portfolio showcasing motion-heavy UI or shipped design work.
- Experience with AI-assisted code generation tools like v0 or Cursor.
- Backend exposure to Go, Temporal, Postgres, or Kubernetes.
- Prior experience in B2B SaaS products.
