What you will do

• Design and implement deep learning algorithms for 2D/3D object detection, tracking, and semantic segmentation.
• Develop sensor fusion algorithms integrating data from cameras, LiDAR, and radar.
• Build and manage large-scale data pipelines for training and validation.
• Collaborate with embedded and hardware engineers to integrate perception models into the autonomous stack.
• Analyze field data to optimize model accuracy and robustness for real-world edge cases.
• Stay up-to-date with academic research and apply innovative techniques to perception challenges.

Requirements

• PhD with 2+ years of industry experience or Masters with 5-8+ years of experience in deep learning for perception.
• Expert proficiency in Python and extensive experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D perception, sensor fusion, or BEV model development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, outcome-oriented approach.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical specialties.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or safety-critical systems.
• Proficiency in C++ for performance-critical tasks.
• Experience with model optimization tools like TensorRT.
