About the Role

You will handle the complete circuit design process including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout. You will test and validate electrical components and systems, including thermal testing, and ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with software engineers to integrate electrical systems with the operating system, lead prototyping to troubleshoot and refine designs, work with suppliers and manufacturers to transition designs to mass production, document the design process, provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, and identify improvements to electrical design and system efficiency.

Requirements

• Deep experience in design, development and testing of hardware systems, particularly focused on motherboards, PCBs and circuitry

Responsibilities

• Handle the complete circuit design process including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Test and validate electrical components and systems, including thermal testing
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with software engineering to ensure electrical systems integrate with the operating system
• Lead initial prototyping stages to troubleshoot, iterate, and refine designs
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to prioritize tasks and facilitate transition to mass production
• Document the design process and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle
• Identify and implement improvements in electrical design and system efficiency
