What you will do

• Lead manual and automated testing efforts across diverse projects.
• Provide technical guidance to QA engineers in test design, execution, and defect analysis.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform exploratory, regression, usability, and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and release readiness.
• Track and report quality metrics, coverage, and defect trends.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including experience leading QA teams for enterprise software products.
• Ability to commute to the San Ramon office at least 2 days a week.
• Experience defining and driving quality and automation strategy for complex software systems, including service-based or API-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD-driven quality practices, with prior hands-on experience.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, support, and release operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify systemic quality risks across different parts of the software stack.

Nice to have

• Strong experience testing cross-platform mobile applications (iOS and Android, Windows or tablet environments a plus).
• Experience working with systems composed of multiple components such as mobile applications, web applications, and backend services.
• Familiarity with microservices-based architectures or distributed systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise software where behavior may vary based on configuration, integration, or customer customization.
• Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools to improve test design, automation development, or defect analysis.
