Incident Handler/Security Analyst

TL;DR

Incident Handler/Security Analyst: Correlating threat data from various sources to identify hackers and their methods, providing assessments and reports on cyber threats. Focus on conducting intelligence analysis to assess intrusion signatures, tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with cyber attacks.

Location: Must be located in Washington, DC area and work onsite 4 days a week, with Fridays remote.

Salary: $81,850 - $110,000 Annually

What you will do

• Correlate threat data from various sources to identify hackers and their methods.
• Provide assessments and reports to facilitate situational awareness of cyber threats.
• Develop cyber threat profiles based on geographic region, country, group, or individual actors.
• Conduct intelligence analysis to assess intrusion signatures, tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with cyber attacks.
• Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of security analysis experience (or commensurate experience).
• Certification required: Splunk Fundamentals I & II certification.
• Ability to maintain a public trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
