What you will do

• Invent and improve automated trading and market-making strategies while managing risk.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle from problem identification and data analysis to software implementation.
• Develop and maintain C++ and Python applications for market data and order execution.
• Improve systems for automated monitoring of 24/7/365 trading operations.
• Collaborate with trading and business teams to identify technical and architectural improvements.
• Ensure system performance and reliability through code reviews and technical monitoring.

Requirements

• Must be based in Asia, Australia, or New Zealand (or a compatible time zone).
• At least 3 years of professional experience developing performant C++ code on Linux.
• Experience developing high-performance trading strategies and market-making algorithms.
• Strong understanding of low-latency trading, distributed systems, and portfolio risk management.
• Proven ability to deliver clean, testable, and robust software under market pressure.
• Willingness to support the developed systems in an on-call capacity.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of network programming including UDP, TCP, TLS, and Websockets.
• Experience with profiling tools like Cachegrind or Valgrind.
• Knowledge of inter-process messaging via shared memory.
• Experience configuring and monitoring Linux infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS.
