What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert for UK cost base validation and settlement processes.
• Build and maintain robust cost accrual models using SQL and dbt.
• Develop and automate data pipelines to integrate invoice entry into Netsuite.
• Partner with Operations and Accounts Payable teams to improve cost validation processes.
• Identify and report on risks and opportunities within cost base reporting on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with global retail teams to scale cost validation solutions internationally.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Experience working in management accounts and understanding of month-end accounting and accruals.
• Familiarity with finance systems such as Netsuite.
• Data literacy with the ability to identify trends and patterns in complex datasets.
• Experience building dashboards in tools like Databricks or Streamlit.
• Strong communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Active progress toward accounting qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
• Experience in the energy industry or working with settlement data.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of modern data stacks including dbt, Lakehouses, and git.
