Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Platform (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland. Hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Build automation and infrastructure tooling that removes manual, repetitive, and unscalable work across R&D.
• Design and execute major architectural changes for Fin’s core infrastructure, including scaling and elasticity improvements.
• Own reliability of core services by responding to incidents, analyzing failure causes, and implementing preventative solutions.
• Investigate issues across infrastructure and application layers to resolve customer-facing problems.
• Provide shared capabilities for security, compute, availability, and cost management through reliable defaults, documentation, and agent skills.
• Lead complex infrastructure initiatives from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Several years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms, ideally on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages and experience applying software engineering practices to infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of reliability, performance, failure modes, telemetry, metrics, and resilient system design.
• Experience driving complex cross-team technical initiatives independently from conception to production.
• Clear technical writing, incident review, communication of trade-offs, and collaboration in an asynchronous environment.
• Practical experience using AI and coding agents to automate investigation, coding, and operational work, with strong attention to correctness and safety.
