Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Platform (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build automation and tooling that eliminates manual, repetitive, and unscalable infrastructure work.
• Design and execute major architectural changes for Fin’s core cloud infrastructure and scaling systems.
• Own reliability and operational excellence for core services, including incident response, investigation, and preventative remediation.
• Trace issues through infrastructure and application code to resolve customer-facing problems.
• Provide shared security, compute, availability, and cost capabilities through reliable defaults, documentation, and agent skills.
• Lead complex infrastructure initiatives from design and implementation through testing and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Several years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms, ideally on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages and infrastructure as a software engineering discipline.
• Expertise in reliability, performance, failure modes, metrics, telemetry, and resilient system design.
• Experience independently driving complex, cross-team technical initiatives from conception to production.
• Ability to write technical documentation, lead blameless incident reviews, communicate trade-offs, and collaborate asynchronously.
• Practical experience using AI and coding agents to automate investigation, coding, and operational tasks with attention to correctness and safety.

• Experience with infrastructure as code.
