What you will do
- Create and maintain high-quality, gameplay-ready character animations ensuring responsiveness and performance.
- Design, build, and validate game-ready character rigs optimized for mobile and console platforms.
- Implement and iterate on animation systems directly in Unity3D using state machines and blend trees.
- Develop procedural and automated solutions for rigging, animation export, and pipeline efficiency using Python.
- Optimize animation systems to meet performance, memory, and battery constraints on mobile devices.
- Act as a technical reference, defining animation standards and mentoring the broader team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in game animation or technical animation.
- Proven track record working with Unity3D on shipped game projects.
- Strong proficiency in character animation principles and real-time rigging.
- Experience with mobile game performance constraints and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting for pipeline and tool development.
- Fluent English and ability to thrive in a fully remote, international studio environment.
Nice to have
- Lead or mentoring experience within a technical art or animation team.
- Knowledge of Houdini for procedural workflows.
- Experience developing custom Unity editor tools.
- Background in building scalable animation pipelines across multiple projects.
