FX Outsource Artist (Gamedev)

What you will do

• Supervise and provide creative feedback to external outsourcing partners on FX assets.
• Create and maintain documentation, video references, and technical examples for vendors.
• Collaborate with Art Leads and Directors to establish and maintain consistent visual direction.
• Train outsource artists in company-specific techniques, engine requirements, and best practices.
• Communicate project goals and feedback between internal stakeholders and external teams.
• Ensure technical requirements for Materials and Logic are met by external partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating executed real-time FX with an emphasis on stylized realism.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, Perforce, and 3D modeling tools.
• Ability to provide clear, actionable written and visual feedback.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in a high-pressure production environment.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical hurdles in game art creation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Houdini.
• Familiarity with Flow (Shotgrid) and Miro.
