What you will do

• Provide legal guidance to the Law Enforcement Engagement and Response (LEER) team regarding data requests and content takedowns.
• Manage and resolve escalations related to subpoenas and other legal processes.
• Develop and refine training materials, workflows, and guidance for Trust & Safety operations.
• Identify and address compliance gaps, developing product and policy enhancements to mitigate risk.
• Support engagement with regulators and policymakers on Trust & Safety and law enforcement issues.
• Translate internal policies into actionable processes in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of experience as a prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice or in-house at a consumer-facing tech company.
• Deep knowledge of laws regarding user data disclosure (e.g., Stored Communications Act, CLOUD Act).
• Proven ability to deliver practical advice under pressure and operate within ambiguity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and humble approach.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the video game or online communication industry.
• Knowledge of global safety regulations like the EU Digital Services Act or UK Online Safety Act.
• Experience dealing with foreign governments or foreign legal processes.
• Previous or current security clearance.
