What you will do

• Lead the modernization of data pipelines and platform architecture within the PubSports vertical.
• Operationalize data governance standards and maturity frameworks to ensure reliable, scalable data assets.
• Design and implement modular, reusable systems while driving the reduction of legacy technical debt.
• Partner with Product Insights to translate complex business requirements into durable, curated datasets.
• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers to ensure predictable sprint execution.
• Establish and maintain SLIs/SLOs for critical datasets to guarantee platform stability and quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or platform roles.
• 5+ years leading data engineering teams in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Spark, Databricks, and a major language such as Python or Scala.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, dimensional modeling, and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Experience implementing real-time/streaming pipelines using Kafka or Flink.
• Proven track record of data platform cost optimization and cloud-native service management (AWS/GCP/Azure).
