What you will do

• Build, lead, and manage a local software engineering team, overseeing development needs and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with international R&S teams to align on architecture, quality, and security standards.
• Develop software requirements, interface specifications, and design documents using structured methodology.
• Oversee software development, integration, testing, and fault analysis for mission-critical systems.
• Manage software configuration, builds, and release processes.
• Communicate project progress and risks to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Australian nationality and eligibility for security clearance are mandatory.
• Extensive experience in software development within mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in C++, SQL, Qt, Python, and Linux, with familiarity in Rust and Valgrind.
• Proven experience in Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
