Security Operations Engineer I, Fedramp (Cybersecurity): Building and maintaining security operations for cloud and delivery teams with an accent on security design, architecture, compliance, and threat/vulnerability management. Focus on security incident analysis, response, remediation, and the design/implementation of security automation workflows.

Location: Remote in Minneapolis, MN; Eau Claire, WI; or Austin, TX. This position will perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen located physically in the U.S.

Salary: $59,800 - $127,400 USD

What you will do

• Manage security information and event management tools, configurations, administration, and related processes.
• Handle web application firewall duties, including prevention, detection, and mitigation of DDoS attacks.
• Perform regular firewall audits and provide supporting documentation, evidence, and follow-up on identified issues.
• Manage tooling, processes, and actions related to vulnerability scanning and external port scanning.
• Identify, plan, and implement cloud hardening needs, working with operations and internal teams to communicate, document, and implement.
• Participate in the design and implementation of security automation workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Linux command-line interface knowledge.
• Minimum 1 year of knowledge of IT security principles, techniques, and technologies.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen located physically in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience in a current programming language (e.g., Python, Golang).
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree.
