Group Head of Data Privacy and Records Management (Fintech): Setting and delivering the Group’s data privacy and records management strategy with an accent on regulatory compliance, risk governance, and privacy-by-design. Focus on embedding advanced privacy standards, leveraging AI for process enhancements, and leading specialist teams in a large-scale financial environment.

Location: Must be based in the UK, with a hybrid work pattern requiring at least 40% time in the Bristol or London office.

Salary: £114,800 – £170,000

What you will do

  • Define and deliver the data privacy and records management strategy.
  • Embed privacy-by-design across all products, systems, and processes.
  • Maintain privacy frameworks, standards, and internal controls.
  • Lead governance activities and provide expert guidance on privacy-related risks.
  • Oversee breach reporting, ROPA, cross-border data transfers, and compliance dashboards.
  • Support the development of privacy skills and organizational capabilities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data privacy and records management within a large financial organization.
  • Industry-recognized qualification such as CIPM, CIPP/E, or PC.dp.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and global data transfer requirements.
  • Proven strategic leadership skills with experience managing specialist teams.
  • Experience with emerging technologies including AI and Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs).
  • Strong analytical, governance, and risk management background.
